additional information

We recomend to visit the museum with an assistant as there are many stairs without special marking in the permanent exhibition. Guide dogs on duty are allowed in the museum. More information and details are available on the homepage of Zugangsmonitor:

To photograph

It's allowed to photograph inside the exhibitions. Not allowed is the use of tripod and flash.

Our café serves you a different range of drinks and snacks. Picnic is allowed in the Castle courtyard.

The museum is located in an historical building built in times when baby prams where not yet known. That's why the exhibitions are not accessible with a push chair. Small prams can be deposited next to the welcome desk, nappy change places are available. Nevertheless we made the experience that babies and infants sometimes don't seem to enjoy a museum visit. That's why we recommend to wait with a visit until the child is at least 3 years old.
