Information for teachers – “A school visit to the museum”


Dear teachers

We look forward to your visit and hope you will have an enjoyable and exciting time here with us at the Museum Burg Zug! You are kindly requested to bear in mind the following:

Before your visit to the exhibition

  • On arrival, bags and backpacks must be deposited in lockers, or outside of the normal opening hours, in cupboards on the ground floor.
  • Pencils are allowed in the exhibition. For guided tours and workshops accompanied by our team of experts, visitors can borrow clipboards and pencils.
  • The toilets are located on the 1st basement floor.
  • Weather permitting, picnics can be enjoyed in the castle courtyard or in the nearby park on top of the Casino Underground Carpark. On rainy days, two shelters without seating are available in the castle moat.

In the exhibition

  • The teacher is responsible for the students’ behaviour.
  • Food and drink are not allowed the exhibition rooms.
  • The works of art, objects and exhibits may not be touched.
  • Please ensure that students refrain from running around.
  • If you are planning an independent visit to our museum with your students, you may use clipboards and pencils that we will provide to you upon request. Please make sure they are all returned at the end of your visit.
  • Pedestals, stands or walls may not be leaned on to fill out worksheets or to take notes.
  • During the museum opening hours, students must be considerate towards all other visitors.
  • Photography without a flash is permitted in the permanent and temporary exhibitions.
